I am so mad right now!! I had to vent. What better place to vent than a
place where people would understand how mad I am.
I ordered 6 carving blocks of stamping medium from MrArt.com and I tracked
it and it was delivered today while I was grabbing the kids from school. It
is not here though. I looked all over the house and it is not here. I called
FedEx and they said that the driver dropped it off at the front door @
3:17pm today. That was only about 15 minutes before i got home!! I am so mad
Now someone has all this carving medium and I have to wait for this whole
thing to be investigated and resolved before I get more. I had a stamp for a
PLB I had to carve and I had been looking forward to getting this new set of
blocks for over a week now. We can't find this stuff in any stores around
here. Man I am bummed!

Did you check that the had the house number correct? Could it be sitting at
a neighbor's house???
I bet if it was stolen the thief was pretty disappointed when he/she
discovered that all that was inside was some weird eraser stuff :)

It could also be right number but the wrong street. Or possibly got
delivered to East instead of West, or North instead of South, etc, if the
same number exists on the other side of the dividing line in your town.
UPS often gets my address mixed up with the same number but one street to
the east of me. And vice versa. So we've come to know the other family a
bit over the years.
But it's a real mess when you're trying to track a package, and hoping that
if it was misdelivered, the other family will be honest and great about
getting it over to you.
Delivery people also often "hide" packages in some strange places,
especially since at Christmas, they caught folks following UPS trucks to
steal packages after they'd been delivered and after the delivery truck went
on aways. Do you have any shrubbery it could be hidden under possibly?
They sometimes leave packages on the doorstep and cover the package with the
doormat, which is more than kinda dumb. Not exactly difficult to see a
package sitting under a doormat, y'know? :-)
Carving Withdrawal can be rough.

Right, Mosey. It occurs to me that maybe the delivery person is an
addicted letterboxer and is hiding all packages! Is there a 12 step
rehab program for addicted letterboxers?
Hey Mosey! I got my first e-mail response from a letterboxer!
'member I was telling you I haven't had any first finds yet? I got
it tonight! They thanked me and said it was a good location :-)

I've had the same problem with deliveries going to the right number
and the wrong street also had a package on my back patio where I
never look. I hope you get your stuff back in any
case. --- In letterbox-usa@yahoogroups.com, "xxxxxxxx"

Or I can just imagine the look on the pawnshop owner's face as he's trampled
to death Walmart-on-Black-Friday style by a screaming mob of letterbox
addicts intent on getting their hands on the fenced Mastercarve that the
unsuspecting shop owner gave the thief all of 25 cents for, neither of them
having the faintest idea what it was.
Or the look on the warden's face when they're in prison for manslaughter of
the pawnshop owner, it's mealtime, and they're pounding their forks and
spoons on the table, not for decent food, but screaming "We want PZKut! We
want PZKut! Give us PZKut! We want PZKut!"
And in their prison cells, they won't be collecting sharp objects for
breaking out or to use as shanks, they'll be busy fashioning them into nibs
and exacto knives for stamp carving.
They'll have to find a way to smuggle in event boxes for their "gatherings."

Right, Mosey. It occurs to me that maybe the delivery person is an
addicted letterboxer and is hiding all packages! Is there a 12 step
rehab program for addicted letterboxers?
Hey Mosey! I got my first e-mail response from a letterboxer!

it tonight! They thanked me and said it was a good location :-)

haha. You guys are so funny. *grin* I am seriously laughing about this now.
I have called Fedex and the company and they will ship another one with a
sig required this time. The fedex guy thinks he dropped it off at the wrong
house so who knows if I will get it back. I did ask a couple neighbors and
got nothing.
I got PZcut and mastercarve. The company said it was in a brown box.
I will wait for the new stuff. I found some of my old mastercarve that I
misplaced and i got my PLB done and even had enough to make a new LB that I
will plant today in a cool spot.

With any luck, you may end up getting the lost package after you get the
newly shipped one! That would be every bit as good as winning the
BINGO, especially since you ordered a NICE amount!!!
May the FedEx "gods" be on your side!

I had a package delivered a few months ago and for some unkonwn reason
they went into our backard and hid it in the dog run! (Thankfully we
were out walking our dogs at the time) It took quite some time to
track down that package because that was the last place we were
expecting a box... and we were lucky to find it before our dogs
completely destroyed the box. Cannot imagine what the delivery guy was
thinking. *Oh, here is a dog house... looks like a good place to leave
this package marked fragile* Duh!

Oh that is funny!
No the fed ex guy said he put it on the front porch. We have nothign on our
porch, in our yard (front or back) It is pretty clear of anything except
grass and sopme flowers and shrubs. he said it was definitely the frnt porch
but it was my neighbors porch. I was able to get with this neighbor and she
had it for me. I did get it back. Yay!
